The community foundation of South Puget Sound in Oregon is the only community foundation in the state that dedicates itself to the health of all the residents. We’ve been talking to some of the people out there and can tell the difference between the PFSS and the community foundation, but we also have a lot of people out there who are really focused on what they do. The community foundation has three key pillars: a) building a new community and b) building a new home. The community foundation is a kind of business. The purpose is to help the people in the area build more community. And that’s an important part of getting started.
